Photographs from Emma & Rob’s Tipi Wedding at The Beech Clearing in Ecclesall Woods by Sheffield Wedding Photographer Stu Ganderton
Emma & Rob got married at St Mary’s Church in Beighton, Sheffield, and then had a stunning and intimate tipi reception at The Beech clearing in Ecclesall Woods. They were carried about on the day by a beautiful fully restored vintage VW camper from Richard at Vintage Volks Weddings.
Emma wore a princess style dress that was blush underneath, and looking amazing for having given birth the little Monty literally only 10 weeks before her wedding day (who was christened during the wedding ceremony. Her flowers were a tied bouquet of wild flowers, with a lovely boho flower crown. the bridesmaids were in lilac with the flower girls in a complimenting ivory.
In keeping with the rustic theme of the wedding Rob and all of lads in his wedding party wore a dark grey tweed jacket, black jeans and tan shoes. Relaxed but still very smart.
Late October weddings are a challenge from a photographers view as the natural day light fades quickly, and what ever daylight is available through the day is usually very soft. On top of this the tipi is in the middle of an ancient wood with no added light that you would get at a hotel or other venue. Emma & Rob booked me as they wanted something different, but they wanted a photographer that could deal with all of the lighting challenges that the day was going to present, but without being invasive into their day. I think we pulled it off!
I will add to this post with some of the colour stills once they have gone had chance to pick their favourites, but for now pull on your happy trousers and enjoy this black and white slideshow of their day.
