A peak district wedding at The Maynard
The Maynard Hotel is tucked away on a hillside, right on the Sheffield edge of the Peak District National Park. You could say its grounds are limited, but when your back garden is one of the most beautiful rolling countryside it does not really matter.
Alanna got ready at her Uncle’s house, which was the only place big enough to fit her and her squad to get ready. We spent a lot of time watching the skies. The clouds were threatening and with an outdoor wedding ceremony, we all held our breath. The rain eventually came just as I had the bridesmaids and groomsmen set for a picture, and the heavens opened. However the Peaks never lets you settle, and later gave us a beautiful end to the day.
