Peak District Engagement Photographer
Donna & Dave

Early April and i had arranged to meet Donna & Dave for their Peak District engagement shoot. They had booked me nearly 2 years ago to shoot their wedding later on in August of this year. As their wedding was going to be a marquee in the peak district, it made sense that we did their connection shoot somewhere related.

We met at Padley Gorge. It has lots of scenery changes, and is not actually that busy. We arranged a time for around sunset, in the hope that we would get a lovely spring soft light. We were blessed as that is exactly what we got.

My main aim of these shoots is not to get a heap of portfolio images, but to get my couples used to taking direction and get passed awkward. Its an investment that pays off on your wedding day.

After being initially nervous and sceptical as I went through my approach and what I wanted to do, they soon got past awkward, relaxed, and delivered a beautiful set of images that portrays how comfortable they are with each other.

On of the things that makes this shoot work is the thought Donna & Dave put into their styling on the day. Even if you are not that comfortable in front of the camera, wearing clothes that make you feel awesome as a couple really helps.

Edit – I shot their wedding in August of this year. Have a look here…
