Peak District Wedding Photographer
Donna & Dave
When I first met these two at the Kelham Island wedding fair, it was 2 years before their wedding. They booked me on the spot. Hearing their plans it felt miles off, but now that it has been shot if feels like ages ago. One of the best bits of Sheffield is that the beautiful peak district is its back garden. Peak District Wedding photographer sounds really romantic doesn’t it, well Donna and Dave’s wedding was.
If you were to ask either if they were comfortable being photographed, I know that neither would answer positively. During their pre-wedding shoot we worked on getting them relaxed and being natural, and they totally nailed it, (have a look here) And this investment paid off in the photographs on the day. Neither got freaked out, or went wooden. They had just accepted i was there, and this is reflected in the natural feel of their images.
The best bit about this wedding was the way that details had been thought about, and the best detail was the Morgan sports car. It was such an individual touch, but so classy and refined. I wish we had just a small amount of extra time on the day to get some extra stunners. That car, this couple, that scenery…. timeless.
I was booked because I do not interrupt the day. Yes we took a very short amount of time on the way back from the church, but the rest of the day was theirs. And what a great day.
“We would definitely recommend Stu as a photographer. On our pre wedding shoot and also on the day, he was able to put us at ease in front of he camera. On the day, Stu is all about capturing the moment rather than loads of typical staged photos and we really loved this about his work. The pics of just us which were staged in the countryside and around our venue are fantastic and he really does have a good eye for what will make a great picture but also able to guide us in a friendly way. He got on with everyone there and people thought he was a family friend not just our photographer. If you can get him booked we would definite,y recommend Stu!” – Donna & Dave Ricketts
